Ahmad graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelors of Kinesiology and later completed his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta. During his undergraduate degree, Ahmad was heavily involved in research and obtained a first-author publication on physical activity in the prevention and treatment of coronary artery disease. Ahmad’s extracurricular works led him to win the UBC Alumni Association Scholarship, awarded to two individuals who exemplify excellent leadership within the Greater Vancouver area. His grades awarded him the UBC Trek Excellence Scholarship, awarded to the top 5% of students in each faculty. During his Physiotherapy degree, Ahmad had the opportunity to work with various populations including geriatric patients, athletes, pre or post-operative knee/shoulder patients, as well as patients following total hip/knee replacements in the hospital.

Ahmad’s rehabilitation framework emphasizes involving the patient in their own care by collaborating with the patient to develop a treatment plan that is best tailored to their routine and lifestyle. Ahmad takes the time to help patients incorporate the exercises within their daily activities to make exercises more habitual rather than a “chore”. Ahmad uses a combination of hands-on manual therapy and exercises to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.

During his free time, Ahmad competes in bodybuilding. When he is not in the clinic, you can find him at the gym lifting weights and eating a lot of food to sustain his lifestyle. He also played soccer competitively for 15 years and can be found playing soccer for fun from time to time.
